Subject: MAPI Interface in Lotus Notes/DAMO
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Accessibility
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.3
Reproducible: Not applicable

Hello,
after researching a bit I am quite confused, therefore my question.

I am writing an application which accesses and manipulates mails via MAPI interface. Now a new customer wants to use Lotus Notes with Domino Server.

As I found out, in a Lotus Notes installation MAPI is NOT active. I found a workaround to install first MS Outlook and then install Lotus Notes, it didn't work for me, and additional it's not a practible way for my customer. Is the MAPI interface accessible when I install DAMO? Is there a trial version to verify it? Or is there another interface to access Notes and mails there in?

kind regards
Wolfgang
